Gung Ho for 4th place now both Mancs are distracted
|
With the Manchester clubs focused on Cup Semi-finals - Bilic and the team should give EVERYTHING to get into 4th position. Its there for the taking
For starters I think we'll get 3 points from Leicester this weekend...

"would get seriously embarrassed in champions league qualifier"
Oh do fuck off. We didn't have a problem beating one of this year's CL semi finalists on their own patch, did we?
There's a difference between having a grip on reality and just being a negative fucking loser.

Well, we did win at Man City, but only after clinging on by our fingernails for the whole second half. On another day they'd have scored four.

Most people just don't understand footballing mentality on here. The idiot IOC thought Manu and LVG were going to turn up lat last night becuase they had lost to Spurs, I had to put him right on that. Big clubs are big clubs for a reason, when at the business end of the season they step up, clubs like us don't.
Look at the last few results and goals conceded...we don't have big enough balls. You should accept the reality of the situation.

Yeah well put PD.
I think last night was a decent reality check.
We are a very good side overall and one that is on the edge of starting to challenge consistently at the very top of the league. Key point though is we are on the edge and not quite there yet.
Once the dust settles I think we will all agree this is huge progress overall though. We are gonna finish between 4th and 7th, are playing much better football, have Slaven in charge and have the stadium move with all the long term benefits that will bring.

I really hope that I'm wrong but I just think that we'll fall away a bit now - which is typical of us.
I reckon we'll drop to 8th or something.
Of course, I'd certainly have been content with that before the start of the season but it will be a disappointing finish in the end for us.

I want to qualify for Europe, so we:
1) have some momentum after a good season, for next season. A reason to push on.
2) buy some players like Maksimovic to have a squad seriously capable of challenging in Europe next season...

It took Man City a couple of seasons to adjust to Champions League football level - it's called PROGRESS
"Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere" that song you keep singing - well fortune is around the corner now
